Watch The Sermon:
What does it mean to live as strangers and exiles on earth while longing for something greater? Hebrews 11:8-16 gives us the story of Abraham and Sarah—ordinary people who trusted in an extraordinary God. Their faith teaches us that:
✔️ Faith requires stepping into the unknown—Abraham obeyed God’s call even when he didn’t know where he was going (v.8).
✔️ Faith relies on God’s power, not human ability—Sarah conceived because she believed in the faithfulness of God (v.11).
✔️ Faith focuses on eternity—they desired a better country, a heavenly one (v.16).
Through Jesus, God has prepared a place for us, and He is not ashamed to be called our God. This truth gives us the courage to persevere, trust His promises, and live for what truly lasts.
