Watch Sermon:

The journey from external religion to internal transformation is powerfully illustrated through the contrast between the Old Testament tabernacle system and Jesus' perfect sacrifice. The ancient tabernacle, while sacred, had significant limitations - only the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place, and only once per year with a blood sacrifice. Jesus revolutionized this system by becoming both the perfect high priest and the ultimate sacrifice .Jesus provides three major improvements over the old system: He serves as a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with human hands, performs more than ritual duties through His permanent presence before God, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice that secures eternal redemption. This sacrifice transforms believers from the inside out, cleansing both actions and motivations while freeing them from shame and guilt. The result is a fundamental shift from fear-based religious observance to love-driven worship, where believers can approach God directly with purified consciences.
